Position Title: Estimator
Department: Preconstruction
Reports To: Owner/Construction Manager
Location: Flagstaff, AZ

Position Overview

Eberson Construction is seeking a dedicated estimator to join our team and play a pivotal role in our growth. This full-time position involves guiding clients through the preconstruction process, preparing detailed budgets and schedules, and ensuring seamless transitions to the construction phase. The Estimator will collaborate with the owner, design team, construction manager, superintendents, and trade partners to deliver excellence in every custom project.
This position blends office-based work and field visits to job sites, requiring expertise in all aspects of construction, from site clearing to custom millwork. A keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, great communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are critical for success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preconstruction Management:
    
   • Guide clients through the preconstruction process, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals.
   • Collaborate with internal teams to address project-specific needs and prepare detailed project plans and scope of work.
2. Estimating and Budgeting:
    
   • Develop accurate budgets and schedules for custom homes, remodels, and specialty projects.
   • Create comprehensive material takeoffs, identify project-specific challenges, and provide solutions.
3. Subcontractor and Vendor Coordination:
    
   • Reach out to subcontractors and vendors for pricing and availability.
   • Build and maintain relationships with trade partners to ensure quality and timeliness.
4. Plan Review and Analysis:
    
   • Review architectural and engineering plans with precision to identify potential issues or unique challenges.
   • Use tools such as Bluebeam, Revit, and project management software to organize and track project details.
5. Field Visits and Collaboration:
    
   • Conduct job site visits to gather critical information for estimates and ensure project readiness.
   • Collaborate with the construction team, ensuring seamless project handoffs and alignment.
6. Time and Resource Management:
    
   • Manage multiple projects during the estimating phase simultaneously (9-12 on average).
   • Ensure deadlines are met with high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications and Skills

• Required:
   
  • Extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and trades.
  • Proficiency with project management and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Revit).
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred:
   
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, accounting, or a related field.
  • Field experience with custom home building or specialty remodels.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $75k + per year (based on experience)

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Work Location: In-person (Flagstaff, AZ)

Relocation: Must relocate to Flagstaff, AZ, before starting work.
