BCBSAZ, a not-for-profit company, is an independent licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. The company employs nearly 1,500 people in its Phoenix, Chandler, Flagstaff and Tucson offices.

In 1933, when the first Blue Cross baby was born, the entire cost of her delivery and her mother’s 10-day hospital stay totaled just $60! Today, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona remains committed to providing the best value in health insurance and improving the quality of life for all Arizonans.
